Let Your Friends Grow Old in Seconds

One of Tokyo’s finest iPhone development studios has brought out an app that will make your fashionista friends cringe

Bookmark and Share

MotionPortrait’s hottest iPhone app, HourFace, does what most of us desperately try to prevent: it ages you. Take a photo of a friend, or better: a bitter enemy, and let HourFace do the damage.

The app analyzes the photo and turns it into a living, breathing 3D movie that ages right there on your iPhone screen. It is kind of creepy, I think, but it does hold your attention.

If the aging kind of gets to you, turn the iPhone upside down and the face grows younger once again.

The hair doesn’t age (that much), so the photo looks a little weird with only the face wrinkling away.

You can creep out all your friends and family, too; the app features sharing capabilities.

Features:

  1. Create a 3D face from your photos or the iPhone camera
  2. Aging face adds decades to anyone
  3. Anti-aging face tightens the skin and turns back the clock
  4. Turn the face side to side by dragging the screen
  5. Save a 3D face in the library
  6. Send a wrinkly snapshot by email
  7. Full screen mode with a single tap
  8. Reverse aging by flipping the iPhone upside down
  9. Pause the aging when the iPhone is horizontal

I am with you, Jini. I think this app is a bit creepy. If it were more realistic, it could be kind of nice to see what the future holds perhaps…
