Compared with the other shows that I watched, this show was completely different in style, audience, show, music and length. Prior to the actual show, old 50’s and 60’s music was played, which clearly appealed to the elderly audience.
When the show started and the first model walked out of the Mediterranean alley painted curtain, applause started. With a theme called JOY collection, the models paraded on sporty high heeled shoes wearing classy Mediterranean outfits in sailor striped red, white, blue and black, suitable for a day out with some girlfriends.
This was exactly what the designer thought, since the models were supposed to act out a girlfriends’ day out, laughing, twirling, drinking a cup of coffee and smiling to the audience.
After the stripes, the collection turned to army patterned garments combined with purple and Pucci like prints. An interesting combination, especially since we haven’t seen army prints for a few years now.
The collection turned to floral printed romantic dresses, to elegant black evening wear and ended with a yellow wedding dress.
All very elegant fashion, but as expected not trendy and new.
