Hats are Back!

Hats have never really been away as the Japanese love their head wear, but Panama and Fedora style hats are back big time this year.

The last time we saw this was in the Summer of 2003 And this time the hat craze is not limited to mainly Panama and Fedora style hats. There is an amazing variety, often at incredibly low prices. Premier Japanese hat brand CA4LA is selling hats for as low as JPY 1,995 (USD 21.11 or EUR 14.84*).

I have created a special folder in the photo section for photos of hats in 2009. Every time I run into something interesting, I will add it to this folder, so bookmark that link and keep on coming back to check for new hat images.

In the Summer of 2003, the trend lasted for about 3 months. As the current recession makes people more careful about how they use their money, it may last longer. Or it may not... Fashion is a bit like the weather, tough to predict.
