Asia’s largest art event rules over Tokyo for two days

JAPANESE STREETS went to visit the 41st Design Festa at Tokyo Big Sight. Over 10,000 artists exhibit, buy and sell work at this gigantic art event. Design Festa is held two times a year, so if you missed this one, start saving for the next one later this year!

THE ART

gyoku creates bags, belts and accessories inspired by Japanese designs reaching back many centuries.

ROHARU creates original dolls.

RABiLy is the brainchild of Ai Kitayama. Stuffed animals with a twist.

Hijikata Kurone creates sexy dolls made of felt.

TOUMEI MANILA creates very cheerful dresses, many of them one of a piece.

DWARF appears on JAPANESE STREETS for the second time. These shoes never get boring.
