Gut’s Dynamite Cabarets Autum/Winter 2007 - Drag Queens and Macho Boys

Cabaret Aki and Jackal Kuzu’s flamboyant label Gut’s Dynamite Cabarets camped up Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo on Wednesday

A theatrical and eclectic ride taking in drag queens, macho boys and rock n roll kept the fashion week audience suitably enthralled.

Gut’s Dynamite Cabarets gave DRESSCAMP a run for their money with an OTT menswear and womenswear collection that was as in your face as fashion shows get.

Tiny underwear, black and white prints, and a dashing double-breasted military coat opened the menswear to maniacal woops from their admirers. Brown leather, animal prints and a lipstick red trenchcoat worn simply over a black leather suit was both elegant and contemporary.

The womenswear appeared to fuse disparate influences with disco minis, black biker jackets and patterned signature items.

This gutsy collection did Gut’s Dynamite Cabarets’ reputation no harm and appeared to have won them even more disciples.
