HISUI Spring/Summer 2007 - Absorbing and Accomplished

Tokyo Collection veteran Hiroko Ito displayed Hisui’s Spring/Summer 2007 collection in Harajuku tonight. A light and refreshing show – it combined casual wear with more elegant items.

Soft fabrics and light colours dominated and with delicate wrap skirts and cute black minis – the collection was unmistakably feminine. Crumpled light fabrics gave a romantic look to the designs and floaty spring coats with floor length leggings appeared modern and appealing.

A pretty red niqab-style scarf/top was a deft touch and like DRESSCAMP last night there was a subtle leitmotif of fruit patterns and emblems.

Some of the short patterned dresses fell flat and lacked any kind of edge but on the whole this was an absorbing and accomplished collection.
