JFW S/S 2011: Discovered

Discovered presents a boys-gone-bad collection

Bookmark and Share

Discovered gave us a history of English subcultures with this boys-gone-bad collection for S/S 11. Elements of skinhead, dandy, rocker and punk were infused in looks that were at once smart and mischievous.

Belted down overalls, suspended dungarees and buckle-up pants were presented, with bleached denim featuring strongly.

The details in the collection really paid homage to the referenced ‘bad boys’ of 70’s and 80’s London; mesh cut-outs, cross accessories, school insignias and loads of belts and fastenings revealed the obvious punk influence.

Throw in a couple of grandpa cardigans and school blazers, full check suits and Doc Martins and you’ve got one rebellious collection there, ‘guvner.

This was probably my favorite collection this year. I’ll definitely pay more attention to Discovered from now on. I loved the general attitude and the quiet innovations in the pieces. Makes want to buy men’s clothes… >w>
