JFW S/S 2011: Gut's Dynamite Cabaret

Long-line shirting and the short trench coat in mens; draped butterfly sleeves, dropped waistlines and capes in women’s

To a background of a rock versus dance mash-up, the Gut’s models came marching down the catwalk bearing tribal neck tattoos and tough looks on their faces. This collection saw a more casual side of Gut’s Dynamite Cabaret than what we’ve seen in the past, but still retained a distinctive toungue-in-cheek character.

Long-line shirting and the short trench coat were strong in mens, as well as draped butterfly sleeves, dropped waistlines and capes in women’s. Checks, evil bunny rabbits, pop icons and even traditional floral prints made an appearance, along with subtle military details of studding, chains and fringing: And not to forget their wicked range of embellished leather jackets.

Gutsy stuff indeed.
