There was a real Parisian feel to show and the artist themed collection would have felt right at home in Monmartre. Chunky double breasted coats paired with Doc Martin boots, wrapped cardigans and velvet coats gave a slightly masculine edge to the line.
A fusion of Schoolmistress, rocker and 50s French movies paved way for a country manor look of long woolen coats and multicolored tweeds with winter hats. Bright leather dungarees and simple black slip dresses finished an inspired collection.
Barreth is one of a few foreign born Japan-based designers showing in this season’s collections and displayed beautifully crafted designs without losing any of their bicultural origins.
