Emi Kusano About the Photographer

Emi Kusano spends most of her free time in Tokyo's trendy Harajuku. Both to hang out with friends and to shoot the latest trends. Hi aragornital & blotangel, thanks. The bag reminds me of a make-up case. I thought those shoes look comfy!

AMAZING style. Kind of futuristic-retro! (But mostly futuristic! haha) A little Avant-garde too! Truly original. I love style like this.

Thanks, Lactose Intoler-Art. I love your illustrations! I am lactose intolerant, and I first thought your site was about art related to this infliction. LOL!

@Kjeld Duits
Haha…No! Its just a play on words…Actually, my art is very inspired by street fashion from around the world, but especially Tokyo! I’ve been to Tokyo a few times and fortunately got to meet some of the same types of people I draw! It was like a dream come true. haha

@Lactose Intoler-Art: I really like your art—it was fun to see the originating photos and your art next to each other.

I love his hair-cut! The whole look works so well.

@Sika: You can see some of the best haircuts of Japan around Omotesando, Harajuku and Aoyama—this is where the best hairstylists of Japan have their boutiques. It is not rare that the people we shoot just had their hair done at one of these hair salons. It is like shopping for fresh vegetables by driving past farms, you don’t get it fresher than here!
