JAPANESE STREETS POP UP STUDIO JUNE 2013

JAPANESE STREETS set up a Pop Up Studio in Harajuku at Design Festa Gallery during the last week of June.
We invited some 30 Harajuku street fashion icons to show us their 2013 summer looks.

Megumi Aihara fell in love with black clothes after watching the movie Sleepy Hollow.
She is a great fan of Osaka based gothic brand Alice Auaa, and often wears nothing else.

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

Ringo Shiina is very famous at JS. I remembered seeing that video or singer before here, so I looked it out. There are various videos of her! ^{Sorry about doble post}

@María: I have no problem with multiple posts, María. ^^ Yes, Ringo Shiina is quite popular among the people I shoot. I remember the first time I shot Takuya Angel. Ringo Shiina was the background music. I even mentioned it in my article at the time. Re. the leggings, I first thought they were layered, but this is actually how Alice Auaa designed them. Reminds me of a spider web. ^_-
