Listening to Bump of Chicken: Good Luck

Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

Now THIS is how you do monochrome! I love the pants, and I like that she used two different families of blue. Very effortless but stylish.

@Samantha: After I finished the color swabs on top of the page, my mouth kind of fell open for a brief moment. Mikako choose the colors amazing well, but it doesn’t hit you in the face unless you pay attention.

The simplicity of her outfit is so refreshing! Especially when compared to the super-complex outfits we usually see. Maybe it’s the blue, like sky, but it almost feels like a visual breath of fresh air. Also, side note, Bump of Chicken is my favorite!

Ah I like it! It so represent the Spring spirit. Love the blue pastel color that she wear. And I like how she put her sweater into her baggy jeans.

She blends with the bright background, really brings the Spring mood. She looks really bright. I love how you took this pictures :D

I think she looks very sophisticated and pretty. I don’t think she’s “osoreteiru”. That’s her style:)
