Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

Comment (日本語もOK)

Okay. I LOVE this. Her layering is done perfectly- it’s just the right cross between messy and chic. And of course I always love some fur (sorry!) so that’s a cool touch. And the Jeffrey Campbell shoes are gorgeous (duh). Also her hair is very cute! Overall I love it.

P.S. – Is she actually a ballet dancer, or does she just like the way the shoes look on the bag?

@MissMolly: I think I may have actually asked about the ballet shoes, but don’t recall Marika’s response…
