Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

@Daniela V. & Maria: Thank you. ^^ I like the last one, too, Maria. Momoko showed me on her phone and I immediately asked her to send it to me. Too bad that I didn’t shoot it… I have tried to find the location, but no luck yet.

@Vampinista: Good question! Very often people buy used clothing from which the label has been removed, or they forgot the brand and the label is in a spot that we can’t politely check (a common problem with pants, shorts, skirts, etc). So in those case, we use Not Available (N/A).

My apologies for the horrid spelling and abrupt post earlier. I was in a rush and wanted to ask before I forgot. Thanks for answering me, the fact that u actually understood what I was asking is pretty darn cool. Lol but ok…it kinda sucks cause I REALLY REALLY LIKED THE “sweater” shorts and the sheer piece over it!!! Btw you post great pics & is there any chance you can find more deep underground alternative genre models?

@Vampinista: No problem, Vampinista. But are we talking about the images on this page I wonder? Because I don’t see “sweater shorts” and a sheer top here… Thanks for your nice words about JAPANESE STREETS. I think we show a lot of underground alternative styles as well, but perhaps you have something else in mind? Have you gone through all the previous images already?
