Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

@Maria: I think I have shot a few more people with flower hairbands recently. Love that look. Nico studies at Bunka, so we may see more of her as Bunka is just a seven minute walk from the JS office.

@Maria: You are in a convenient location, eh? ;) — Yes, unbelievably convenient. Bunka, Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku Station and Yoyogi Park are all within walking distance.
