Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

I have come to various conclusions: she likes octopuses, she likes bees, she likes bags with animal shapes and she likes pattern/prints clothes. :p

Awesooooome! I love the whole outfit! It’s magical! I especially like the star accessories (although it’s nothing new). They make here look like a mahou shoujo ^^ Combination of sweater, tie and birds ^^ is an artwork ^^ And the haircut with wonderful color looks great under that funny hat!

Kurebayashi is such an icon! She always has the cutest, most well put together outfits! I absolutely love the plastic star clips she has in her hair, I’ve been seeing them around lately1 Does anyone know the term for them or where I can get them from?

@Laura: In Japan they are called hair clips or just hair accessories. These are actually for babies and young girls, so try stores specializing in baby and kids fashion. I couldn’t find the exact same ones, but here are other ones: 6%DOKIDOKI, giddy giddy, Amazon Japan, and our eBay associate store. Also, do a Google image search for star hair clips.
