When I wrote The Evolution of a Harajuku Fashionista,
I discovered that these photos had not been uploaded yet…
They were shot in October 2011

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

I think almost no one can came out with an outfit like that. Sport shirt with that kind of skirt, I never tought of it ._. But it looks great ^^

@Echo77: Yes, it is real paint. I shot Kurebayashi right after she finished a painting performance at a party. It appears like it is part of her look, doesn’t it?

I love seeing pictures of Kurebayashi! I think she’s so pretty and adorable, and her style is really… sweet. I love it :)
