Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

Cute girl.Wonder if she’s aware of the connotation of her gift “Necklace (collar)”, especially if given to her by a guy.

@jgirl-fan: Each culture has its own specific symbolism. For which culture are you speaking? I am sure Sayuri will be delighted to discover how that differs from what it means in Japan.

That necklace is so badass! Especially when combined with an elegant jacket and beret. I love her style! Also, seeing so many Japanese girls wearing platform shoes inspired me to buy a pair for myself.

The whole outfit is so cool. A great mix of strong and soft colors.
@fatcatinthehat: Agree n_n I have been wanting to buy a high platform shoes because of all the rocking horse shoes I have seen!

@fatcatinthehat: Cool! Glad you could find some platform shoes that you liked.
@Maria: I love the repetition of red and black broken up by the colors of the T-shirt.

@Maria: I know what you mean:-) I especially like Tokyo Bopper shoes, too bad that they don’t sell them in Europe
