Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

She is so cute, everything I love about a bit of a “Ne-Net” look. Is the red headed character attached to the shirt? Or is it by another company? And there was a Jeremy Scott X Adidas collaboration that had the exact same style shoes, also in pink…I’m assuming that’s them unless they are a knock off brand…I’m thinking 7000 yen is a bit cheap if that’s really them, but of course they could be used.

@Lactose Intoler-Art: These shoes are imitations of the famed Jeremy Scott X Adidas collaboration. I have seen lots of these imitations and recently shot somebody else wearing them. I think it might have been during the Harajuku Fashion Walk (I’ll have to check my photos!).

I wonder which one was first, Jeremy Scott’s Adidas shoes or those ones…

@Maria: In case of this design, I am pretty sure it was Jeremy Scott x Adidas, although we did see stuffed animals on shoes before that.
