Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

@aestheticjungle: We usually remove links to own sites in the body of the comment, but you were very polite about it and you actually commented on the look as well. I also made your name a link to your site, so it’s easier for visitors to just click and surf to you. Like your site. I visited Melbourne twice—once for a month—and recognize quite a few places.

WOW! I cant believe that shirt was only 1500 yen. I was assuming when I looked at it closer it was going to be some avant garde brand. Did he remake it, and put the black dress shirt into it? VERY cool. This guy is really unique. So many inspiring elements to this look.

Im not familiar with the shoes remake brand “WOW designs”..It looks REALLY cool.
Is he at Bunka? I just noticed he is 17 too. Wow. Thats crazy awesome. Im gonna tweet this one! Haha

@Lactose Intoler-Art: He is still at high school. If he’s that aware of fashion at 17, it promises something for the future. ^^ I have to ask Anzu about your questions as she took the data down, but she already left for her trip to Guam…

WOW designs is new to me. I’ll keep my eyes open and let you know when I find out more.

WOW. That’s all I can really say is “wow”. I’m still getting used to this and I kind of like it now, but this is so crazy. There’s so much to look at on this guy! My eyes were like this big —> 0_0 … Okay, I’ve calmed down now. My favorite parts of this outfit are the condom earring and his Harry Potter glasses, haha. Also, what does his pin say?

@Angele: Yes, Akira lets his creativity run rampant. His pin is an ad for an event.
