Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

I am embarrassed to say this but he is very handsome^-^ I like how his clothing is usually black/white (even in the August and October shoots of him) I normally wear black as well. :P

@Trinity: No need to be embarrassed at all. Hosaka’s personality is as nice as his looks. He is very soft-spoken and friendly.

Yea, he’s always got such cool style. And I like that its not 100% monomania like where he works. He represents the brand well, but also adds elements of artistic avant-garde, and by that I mean pieces like the attachment on that hat. The shape of the hat is already interesting enough, but what did he put on it? What is that made out of??

@Lactose Intoler-Art: I assumed it was origami… I should have made sure!

I’ve seen this guy several times on this blog I think. He is extremely beautiful. He should Definitely be in Paris on the catwalks. Stunning!

@Karl-Fredrik: Yes, we also photographed Hosaka in August 2010 and October 2010. I will tell him what you wrote next time I meet him. I am sure it will make him quite happy. ^^

@Trinity: HAHAHA I do that all the time to! Welcome to the club, sister :)
Anywho, woah woah woah! He looks SO different with the blonde than the black hair…For a second, I thought I was crazy, but I really have seen him with the blonde hair before…he’s the guy with pretty hands! :D
Anyway, I really love it when people wear black and white together, and wear some kind of bright shoes and accessories. It’s always a lovely contrast!

He is most beautiful. Such contrasting colours, such an awesome look. Very appealing to an artistic eye.

I like how he puts out the outfit, he could totally walk with it on a runway. I love that the color is only on the shoes. He has awesome and unique accesories too. Super cool ^^

@Maria: Hosaka works for Monomania, so he always has some of the edgiest things.
