About the PhotographerInspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

There’s almost something Girl Guidish about this look… sweet (beret up top) – but with a hint of danger (Doc’s down below).

This is really appealing outfit! The color’s she’s using are really well played, and I love the leather mixed with that dress. She kinda looks like a war messenger but in a vintage apocalypse. If that make’s sense haha. :“D

The cut of the dress is SO 40s, I might cry (from joy). I love how all of her pieces look worn, but they’re still in great condition and clean. Yes, I’m getting a bit of a Girl Guide/Scout feeling, too— but I’m loving it!!

I hope no one gets me wrong but she reminds me of an elf, yeah, one like Link from Zelda… I totally love the outfit, in the moment the first image charged I went like: OMG, the cutest xmas preview ever!! .
Her haircut matches perfectly with that cap :3

She reminds me of an old (not as age, but as in “from earlier times”) french girl with that barret, her hairstyle, and the buttoned dress. Very unusual for Japan but super creative, and cute.

I really like the simplicity of the outfit as well. A little red, a nice shot of green and great shoes! If this is how French women looked in the 40s, it would seem that I need to do more research on that look. Thanks for the pics Duits!

What a cutie! She’s so precious! I really like her outfit! Her hat is my favorite part. I also really like her haircut =)
And I like the dress. It kind of reminds me of a girl scout or something….

I seriously love coming to this site, seeing all those gorgeous little babies, and everybody commenting as everything here is so positive, and peaceful. It makes me smile :) Btw, Kae inspired my today’s look. It’s raining, and dark and cold outside but I want to be warm, and sunny :).

@Kjeld : It’s all my pleasure! Yes, I know I can but I have a very silly problem. My camera works with micro SD cards, but so does my phone. And because I keep the only card that I have in my phone(never really had time or wish to get another one, although I’ve bought a million normal SD cards for other stuff that need them already). I could’ve just taked it out, and placed it in my camera but my phone is in a hard case which is quite difficult to take off, and then put back on. So, I never do unless it’s urgent. Of course, I can take pics with the phone too, but I don’t like their quality too much, and it’s hard when you do it yourself (don’t have anyone who could snap me, unfortunately :( ). Anyway, I promise I will take picture next time I dress in a fun, and cool way, and will post it. Maybe during the weekend (would do earlier but right now I’m mostly at home in pjms bcz I’m working on my graduation project nonstop, so don’t go out too much). Ok, so that was too long, but yeah – let me just say it again, I will do it very soon (as soon as I get outta home for something longer than a trip to the supermarket).

@Kjeld :Thank you :))). I was afraid they might be too big but didn’t have the time to resize them. Next time, I will :). So, here there are again…
