Once again, as we were done, something beautiful showed up. Asahi showed this beautiful kimono that she had worn at a party the previous night. She generously wrapped it around her to show us.

Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

Oh wow a slim Japanese girl with a gorgeous curvy figure! I never thought I’d see the day! I love the look, it’s very retro cool. Her bag is almost out of place and that’s why it fits in so well. I love the bag! @ That kimono is lovely! :)

@Asayo: I already thought something was strange! I have fixed your name. Good to hear from you again. I just came back from covering the flood disaster in Pakistan, so haven’t been able to follow up on our conversation. Will call you soon!

Nice figure and great dress! Love that design, it really suits her and compliments her figure.
Just a side-note, tho, I don’t really like the stocking, the sock in particular. In Japan many women wear that kind of socks, without realizing that they “cut” their figure and make their legs look really short. I think that the whole outfit would have worked better with a different type of stocking or even bare legs :)

@Asayo Yamamoto: Your English is understandable. :) Your fashion is simple in this shot, but simple can be fashionable! You’ve got a great figure by the way! :):)

See a lot of compliments about Asayo’s figure. I think you have made her very happy.

@Alice: Yes, these socks have indeed become extremely popular. Just wondering, do you see socks like these in your area?

@ Kjel, I live in the suburbs of Tokyo but I commute to Uni (Waseda) almost everyday, and sadly those socks are extremely popular among Japanese students.

@Alice: I had automatically assumed you were living outside Japan. My bad! Yes, these socks are everywhere these days. Luckily, I like them a lot. ^ _ ^ Hopefully, soon some socks that you like too will become popular!

In the states, this style would be considered mod. It looks very cute on her. Mt body type is very similar to hers yet sadly in the states, I would be called “fat” just because I have curves. She’s definitely workin it tho!

@Tahti: I was quite happily surprised to see all the positive comments for Asayo’s curves. I am sure you have fans, too!
