I love her outfit so much, she made that shirt completely her own

Loji did a nice job on Makiron’s hair, love the style.

Maybe it’s too early in the morning for me to be commenting on this, but the ribbon reminds me of cookies(and now I want it in my hair, too) and her purse looks like something out David Bowie might have pooped out in his earlier years… Fun & unique nonetheless!!

@Melina Bee, Annabelle, nonsibi, petitesam: Thanks for your sweet comments! Makiron will be very happy to read your commetns. She’s from Koube and she said she almost never see the same kind of styles in her hometown. Hope she will be able to spread this nice fashion!

Oh wow does she happen to read fashion magazines at all because she is bang on trend with that safari animal print look! It’s a great look. And she looks lovely when she smiles. :)

Wow I love everything about this look. I love the clip in her hair. I’m a fan of clips and headbands myself

@Mel: So true! I often see this kind of ribbon socks in Harajuku, but do you happen to know if it’s also trendy right now?

@Dominique: The clip is so cute and I can’t believe she made it by herself:) Clips and headbands definitely make a style cuter and more stylish!

@Img: I’m not sure about it since Kjeld runs this website, but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t delete your comments on purpose. I must be something about the technical problem. I’m sorry for your inconvenience, Img. We really appreciate your comments!

@lmg: Thank you very much for your interest in JS and for commenting, and sorry to hear about the trouble with your comments.

None of your comments have been deleted.

I can think of only one reason for your comments not showing: entering an incorrect security code. After hitting submit (not preview), did you check that your comment was actually posted, and there was no error message?

The security code is a pain. Unfortunately, we were blasted with comment spam recently, so we have to use it for a little while. After my return from Pakistan, I will check if it’s safe again to run the comments without the code.

@Marie: Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I commented another time few months ago before the security code feature was added..guess it must be some other technical problem then.

Anyway, kudos to the both of u- marie and kjeld for doing this wonderful job running this site! I love coming back every now and then to check out the fashion scene in japan (I’m a Singaporean)! I really love how bold the Japanese are, in terms of their fashion choices! The styles that they carry are very individualistic and full of character. These pictures inspire me alot…thanks once again!

Cheers! ^__*

@lmg: I do very occasionally remove comments when they are unrelated to the photos, spam, or could be interpreted as disrespectful to the person who was photographed (they give us a lot of their time, so we really want to show our gratitude to them).

However, I checked the database and didn’t find previous comments for lmg. So probably there was a technical issue, or perhaps you hit only preview and not submit. One of our photographers actually did that in the beginning.

Thank you very much for your kind words about JS. We appreciate that a lot. I am glad that we can inspire you!

I am now in Pakistan covering the flooding so there will be some fewer photos than usual, but as soon as I am back in Japan the number will increase again. Over the next week I won’t be able to respond much to comments, but Marie will. Hope to see a lot of you!

@Kjeld Be safe, and good luck with your story! Will you let us read it when it’s over with?

@petitesam: Thanks. Not all my reports will be written (I also do radio), and few will be in English, but I will definitely show my photos!

Her hair is sooo pretty! I used to have short hair like that and I could never come up with anything interesting to do with it, kudos to her :D
