Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

He’s rather cute! Two quite gothic-esque male shots recently! His hair doesn’t look naturally curly for some reason. :L

See him with dominant black clothing and white/pink lines, but his cell holders are Mickey and Tweety. What a balance. Again, smart choice! Bravo!

@Mel: I don’t think Yoshifumi has naturally curly hair. It looks great on him, though. Recently, several people surprised me by looking really good in the photos that I shot, Yoshifumi is one of him; I think his hair and the look in his eyes are two of the reasons.

@nonsibi: Those cute cell phone straps totally caught me off guard. I had not expected them at all. I wonder if you’d find that anywhere else but in Japan.

@ Yes it does look great on him! Now that you mention it, he has got a certain look in his eyes…

@Mel: Yes, that look is really special.
