Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

Is this what they call the “mori girl” style? I love that Mickey Mouse cellphone charm!!

@Alice: I think this and this is closer to Mori Girl, although the concept is pretty vague and depends mostly on the person declaring herself as a Mori Girl.

Her top looks similar to the Mexican traditional blouse!
I just bought one in the old Mexican town in San Diego not long ago….{LOVELY!}

@5am je t♥aime: Thanks for the link. I couldn’t quite place it, but noticed the ethnic feel of the blouse.
