Nyurah: Japanese style is really great. It looks cool and is comfy at the same time. What else do you need? .

Kjeld Duits: @Lactose Intoler-Art: Mariko’s awesome hair is what first attracted me, too. And the yoghurt t-shirt… I can’t believe she actually cut this hairstyle herself.
Lactose Intoler-Art: Oh, I love it! The hair is what really attracted me, and the use of mixing a kind of harder/punk look with a bit of a “kawaii Japanese” style t-shirt. I’m definitely getting a 90’s FRUiTS magazine vibe from this, but still her own. Its fun to see bits and pieces of trends from the “early” Harajuku fashion era coming back but mixed up a bit differently.
Kjeld Duits: @jules: Chichiyasu Yoghurt, a very popular yoghurt brand in Japan.

Kjeld Duits: @Andrea: That is quite possible. The JAPANESE STREETS office is a short bicycle ride from Harajuku, and I spend a lot of time there.
Andrea: @Kjeld oh wow! maybe we walked by each other :). I was also there Sunday and the weekend before a few times. I should show you the jewelry I bought there then!
Kjeld Duits: @Andrea: Oh, we were in Harajuku at the same time then! I have never paid attention to Kinji’s jewelry section, yet. Will do so next time.

Kjeld Duits: @Mirry: During the past few days I did two more shoots with Marina. She has gone even more extreme. But still rocks it. Coolness must run through her blood.
Mirry: Most of her style is not something I’d be drawn to normally, but she totally rocks it! She’s a gorgeous girl with a cool look to her.
Safiya: I adore her make-up and hair. 0.0 she is so cool.

Kjeld Duits: @Chrysteena: In Japan they are sold in vintage and used clothing stores, but also in lots of regular stores. I believe that even H&M carried something like this. I have no idea about the situation outside Japan, though. Try searching for fur stole, faux fur, faux fox, fox stole and so on on our eBay affiliate store on this site and see what you can find.
Chrysteena: I really love all these fur stoles that make their way into these photos… Especially the faux ones, I’ve been searching but where can I purchase faux fur in such detail?
Kjeld Duits: @Mah-chan: Yes, Maria is correct. Synthetic fur is now so realistic that you have to be well-versed to notice the difference, but the price usually gives it away. However, sometimes people also wear vintage furs bought in used clothing stores. These can also be cheap, so the price can occasionally be misleading.

Kjeld Duits: @Maria: Yes, you are right. Her nails do actually look like strawberries, don’t they! Yummy.
