Magazine for street fashion in the Kansai area
Although Tokyo is best known for street fashion, Japan’s Kansai region – the area around Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe – has some pretty nifty street fashion as well. CaziCazi (pronounce: “káhjee káhjee”) is one of the better known Japanese fashion magazines focusing exclusively on men’s street fashion in Kansai. It has a circulation of 230,000 and is published monthly.
Having young men in their teens and twenties who go shopping in Osaka’s Amerika Mura (“American Village”) as their core readers, CaziCazi follows a theme of “People, Things, Shops.” It runs features like “The 50 Best Shops for T-Shirts,” “Being Ready for Summer,” “The Obsession of 50 Fashion Leaders” and introduces street fashion shops in Kansai, rare items and bargains.
CaziCazi is published by Osaka based Iriosu, which publishes CaziCazi H (for Japanese hair styles), CaziCazi Q, Kansai Girls Style, Wagonist, Super Rhythm, ONE&ONLY, Only Mercedes and other publications. The company also produces CaziNabi, a site that introduces fashion shops in the Kansai area.
