Kjeld Duits: @Whitney: We, and other blogs, cover the trend leaders. I think that most of the things about Japan that reach the media are the exceptions, not the rule. That makes these looks even more awesome. ^_-
Whitney: I just read that article from Tokyo Telephone. I honestly had no idea that the mainstream fashion was so conservative! I kind of thought that this really creative stuff for which Japan is known, as stated in the article, was a norm! Thanks for the interesting read!
Kjeld Duits: @Amber: Thank you for your support. It is always nice to hear from our fans! Yes, at JAPANESE STREETS we do indeed search for and photograph the exceptional and original. I admire people who are able to step outside conventions. I’m not familiar with the kind of blog you’re looking for, but Tokyo Telephone has a great article about Japanese mainstream fashion.

nate: the socks make her leggings and shoes not blend each other. I think it’s good.
Kjeld Duits: @Maria: I kind of like how the socks break up the leggings and create a barrier between them and the shoes.
Maria: @KD: I actually like them ‘cause I have a pair just like those, but I don’t like them in this outfit. I guess it can’t be help since there is cold and you have to wear socks :/
