Everlasting Sprout Spring/Summer 2010 - Color Thief

JFW S/S 2010: Everlasting Sprout - Stage

Japanese brand Everlasting Sprout is famed for its beautifully designed knitwear. Every season they manage to show a fairytale collection with new silhouettes, designs textures and colors. This season’s theme was Color Thief.

The stage looked like your mom’s garden just after she finished hanging her laundry. The white clothed runway ran under myriad clotheslines bearing nothing but white shirts and pants. As the theme was Color Thief we all thought that we got the point.

That is, until the models came out and started showing all black garments…

Yet after three black runs, the designs gradually became more colorful. From greenish grey to soft pastels to eventually strong green, pink and orange, and blue loosely knitted garments.

The collection was so soft, delicate and peaceful, with the cutest knitted hair accessories and the models walking on garden like shoes with actual grass, we felt like hobbits in the Shire.

When the last model came out wearing an enormous colorful knit skirt and top, we finally knew who had stolen all the colors.
