It was only 10:00 AM, but the venue was quickly transformed into a fun nightclub. Featuring disco balls, screaming lights and loud 80’s disco music, the party began with a dancer spinning wildly on Dead or Alive’s You Spin Me Round blasted loud over the heads of the audience.
In the midst of all the dancing—which included lap dances given freely to the front row audience—actual models with rocking hair paraded in black party wear, alternated with some colorful prints.
Especially the women’s collection caught our eyes this year. Voluminous black, semi see-through dresses ruled the disco runway. Gut’s Dynamite Cabarets is truly proving itself. What started off as an over-the-top men’s underwear brand, has now established itself as a prominent fashion label for men and women.
Famed Japanese fashion commentator Hideka ended the runway show with a beautiful long printed dress. Used to staid Paris runways, the ex-world class model clearly enjoyed the rowdy show created by designers Cabaret Aki and Jackal Kuzu. So did the audience when both designers came out and did a magnificent victory dance with all of the show’s dancers.
There’s simply no better cure for a sluggish morning than a Gut’s Dynamite Cabarets show.
