Alien Encounters 2
Part 2 of a quirky interview with the star of the Ichigo Seijin range, the strawberry alien himself.

Ichigo Seijin (ichigo meaning strawberry, seijin meaning alien) is a quirky, space traveling character created by Japanese design team, Hirooka San and Tashiro San. When we approached the designers of the Ichigo Seijin (Strawberry Alien) range to interview them, they thought it would be best if we interviewed the character himself. Last week we introduced him. This week we look at where the Strawberry Alien spends his time and ask about his life story.

Deanne: What is your life story? Do you have any interesting tales to tell?
Ichigo Seijin: There is no real story that I hold onto, I live a pretty normal life here in Japan. I think I fit in well. I am just a normal Strawberry Alien. I work out, I go shopping, love cooking and enjoy travel.
I write a blog about my daily life, please take a look. I like to write in Japanese but there are also lots of pictures so you can follow my life and my adventures.

Deanne: We see you printed on many things from phone straps and bento bags to t-shirts and pencil cases. What is the most popular thing that your image is on?
Ichigo Seijin: The most popular thing that I am printed on is probably the Bag in bag
I get lots of compliments about this one. The Eco bag is also popular, which is great because it means humans are taking better care of planet Earth. There are no plastic bags on Ichigo Wakuse (planet strawberry)
I just had myself printed on lots of new things, so watch out for those in the near future.

Deanne: Where can fans find Ichiho Seijin items?
Ichigo Seijin: Of course TokyoMade, they are great friends of mine. I also spend a lot of time in Kamakura at a shop called NABI.
There is also a really cool place in San Francisco called NEW PEOPLE the Store and I have also started my own shop.
When I want to chill out I hang out at the out door market in Kamakura.

A big thanks to the Strawberry Alien. Sounds like life is pretty sweet.
