Except for a few pieces that appeared added as an afterthought, there was no color in araisara’s A/W collection for 2009.

The strong straight lines, and the lack of color and texture reminded me of early 20th century modernism. Araisara creations for this season are like thoroughly modernized versions of clothes you’d expect to see in an old Hollywood movie featuring Katherine Hepburn walking out the doors of an imposing New York skyscraper.
