N Hoolywood Spring/Summer 2008

The collection “After Sputnik” is related to the famous Apollo 11 moon mission in 1969.

Space suits, huge ponchos, slogan tees and neat suits were paraded side by side. Stark colours, expert tailoring, and more importantly imagination made this show stand out from the rest.

Tremendous fluorescent yellow jackets, geeky suits and long over-the-shoe pants were the highlights and it won’t be long until N Hoolywood makes its own journey of discovery into the European and American fashion markets.

Quite simply, Daisuke Obana’s N Hoolywood brand is the best menswear label in Japan. Their off schedule Spring/Summer 2008 show in Tokyo’s Ebisu was a triumph from start to finish.
