Tokyo Rainbow Pride Festival kicked off yesterday. The annually organized event celebrates diversity, and aims to raise awareness for equal rights of sexual minorities.
The festival features a colorful parade and a festival with food, fashion and health care stalls, as well as musical performances, at Yoyogi Park.
This year’s parade attracted some 3,000 participants, 400 more than last year. But the festival at the park was most likely twice as busy as last year. It was crowded!
JAPANESE STREETS once again documented the fun and the diversity.
