This year the 17th Halloween Event took place in Kawasaki. As always, there was a movie festival, events for kids, a Halloween Club to dance the night away, and most important, the annual Kawasaki Halloween Parade. Some three thousand people from all over Japan, and many countries of the world, thronged the streets to walk and dance behind festival floats with dancers, DJ’s and roaring music. Here are some of the faces I saw:

O my gosh, I don’t know where to begin describing how amazing this all is! OuO All the costumes are so perfectly done and artistic, it must’ve been like a dream to go. I love the girls with the severed legs and all the frilly masked victorian costumes and the funny ones like the guy in the chicken suit :)

@Bushae: Yes, this was a lot of fun. It is awesome to see so many dressed up people all in the same place. Too bad that they didn’t close the streets to other traffic for the whole day like they do on Ginza on Sundays. That would really make the day special.
