A.D.'s Summer of Love

Hideo Nishimura’s A.D. label (previously ANNODOMINI) showed its summer collection in a small confined space in Tokyo’s Harajuku

The setting didn’t really match the collection which demanded a big imagination and hint of spectacle.

This über-cute ensemble consisted of models with glamorous coloured Christmas-tinsel wigs and Silver Star accessories. Models were adorned with cute flower bracelets and Hawaiian Aloha flower necklaces which really encapsulated this show.

Nishimura has a real flair for detail but his understated black halter neck dress with white flowered hat and uncomplicated orange summer floral dress gathered attention in this summer of love almost hippy inspired collection.

A.D. also exhibited some elegant summer blouses and cotton tops along with some beautifully embroidered patterns on white cutesy skits. The hexagonal flower print blouses worn over summer pants and a breathtaking embroidered waistcoat/shawl made me swoon over this truly ethereal summer assemblage. Think of A Midsummer Night Dream mixed with a contemporary Harajuku setting and you get the drift.
