A self-confessed Sunao Kuwahara fan, I was really looking forward to this show but the poor staging and blink-and-you’ll-miss it approach disappointed many of his admirers.
A superb soundtrack accompanied long tube padded coats/dresses in various colours as sub-gothic undercurrents swept the show along at a rattling pace.
Pre-Raphaelite models appeared part Goth part Lolita and the intricate black shawls, fur details and half cardigans added well to this haunting collection.
Black gilets, knitwear and a flurry of tartan and cute ponchos with clever sequins finished the line. Although I adore the artistry I would have like to have seen more of it and for much longer.
