A one week program means plenty of shows every day and a chance to eye the latest looks from the Japanese designers that lead the way in couture and streetwear.
As well as designers that have shown in previous collections there are some new faces in the line up. More publicity and interest in the event means there is a real buzz of anticipation about this season’s collections that will hopefully create a festival atmosphere. We hope you enjoy the photos and live reports from the catwalks and don’t forget to tell us what you think!
Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo started last autumn when the government and private companies got together to market Japanese fashion to the world. Some 44 brands participate this week. JFW is from March 17 through March 24, 2006.
