Nyurah: great style and great music taste. Love it :)
Kjeld Duits: @Claudia: You’re right, Claudia. They are indeed made of plastic.
Agnieszka: love the colour combination

Kjeld Duits: @Agnieszka: Do you mean the Jeffrey Campbell shoes above, real Rocking Horse Ballerina’s originated by Vivienne Westwood, or shoes inspired by the Ballerina’s (second in the linked list)? I think the Jeffrey Campbell shoes will probably still last a little bit longer, shoes inspired by the Ballerina’s might just become evergreens, while the original Ballerina’s will come and go in waves, I think. They have become classics.
Agnieszka: do you think rocking horse shoes will continue to feature in 2013?
Maria: @Mia & @KD: I think very few people would pay a lot of money for hard-to-use shoes. Especially at Bunka, were you have to walk a lot. ^^U Her face is so pretty~

Nyurah: I’m usually not such big fan of fluorescent pink hair, but it suits her perfectly! and the lipstick too. I like how she kept the rest of her makeup rather simple and sticked with black and leathery texture with the rest of her outfit.

tokyo up: Wow, i’d absolutely agree with you! Layering, textiles and textures on Tokyo streets are wild. I also love the way Japanese style integrates innovative silhouettes – their experimentation with the pattern making process and their penchant for draping is incredible. I wonder how much the flat patterned kimono has influenced/inspired pushing the boundaries of construction methods as well.
Rolex Replica: Classic look! i like it :)
Kjeld Duits: @Jam @icoSnap & tokyo up: It is still relatively rare to see people in a modern kimono and obi like Rie is wearing and I wish more would do so. I have always believed that the exposure to kimono, with its amazing combinations of textile patterns, colors and texture, allows Japanese people to come up with their unique sense of style in street fashion.

Kjeld Duits: @Maria: It is indeed a yukata, Hideko just told me. She doesn’t remember where she got it, but she paid JPY 3,000.
Kjeld Duits: @Lactose Intoler-Art: That outlet is run by Chicago. They also have a pretty good in-store selection of kimono and yukata. Amazing that you have the same one.
Lactose Intoler-Art: Oops! Sorry, yukata! I have the same one and I purchased it at the corner in Harajuku next to LaForet. They set up pretty often and sell old Japanese clothing. I’m sure it probably came from another shop though..I just felt like it was really random that I happened to have the same one! I love these shots from the “shooting frenzy” haha.

Nyurah: That backpack is my absolute favourite in her outfit! I like the contrasts in her look, like the cute cap and disneyshorts and then her skull and flames sweater :)
Maria: Funny. It’s as if the cap is telling you F*ck U. I love everything she is using, from glasses to socks.
