Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

She could really go somewhere I think; the self made stuff is very cute (I would have liked to see a closer picture of the cardigan but I know you try to limit the number of photos).

The only thing I have to question is the shoes; I think the red is a bit too dark for the soft tones of the rest of outfit.

@Arc: Your request is our command. (^_-) I have added a close-up of the cardigan for you. I think you really see the details now. I must admit that I love those shiny red shoes, but you might be right about them being a bit too dark for this outfit.

@Annabelle: Go for it. Maybe the close-up of the cardigan that I just added to this page may serve as inspiration?

@Kjeld Thank you so much! The style of her self-mades are really interesting and unique. The way she makes them looks almost random but you can tell she puts a lot of thought into composition.

@Arc: You’re welcome. I can just imagine Miki sitting in her room working on it, concentration etched onto her face.
