Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

Oh my God stunning! The colour scheme is hot. I particularly like the detailing on the top underneath the faux fur coat. It’s a very cool outfit. I am a fan of the skinny jean and booties look! Lastly, I love her hair however the false eyelashes are a bit scary haha!

@Mel: Quite different from the Harajuku fashion I usually shoot, eh! This is more Shibuya-kei.

Yeah it’s almost like a rock “gal” outfit. Like the jeans a lot. You’re right, it’s quite different from what you normally shoot. Have you ever heard of NANA? Because it seems like if you combined the styles of those two girls in the series, this is what you’d get haha

@MissMolly. I love NANA. You made me laugh about the two Nana’s rolled into one here.
