Kjeld Duits About the Photographer

Inspired by the stunningly creative street fashion that exploded on the streets of Tokyo and Osaka in the late 1990’s, photo-journalist Kjeld Duits launched JAPANESE STREETS in 2002. This makes JS one of the first fashion blogs on the net, and the very first to cover Japanese street fashion.

I sort of like this. It’s really cute, although it’s also really odd, and I don’t know what to make of some aspects of it…

The first dress… so great… dreamy sigh I do like several of the designs, especially that black bodice on the model wearing the big white dotted bow. But the hair! It’s so Mars Attacks! I keep expecting Jack Nicholson to show up and get zapped by one of the models!

Ah! The wigs and bows are amazing. Such an interesting twist on Peanuts.
