KantiOminotago: I think it depends on what part of the country you live in. I live in the US and could easily get away with wearing this daily if I had the budget for it. I might get an odd look or two (just like I’m sure these girls to sometimes) but nothing too bad.
Willis: oh my gosh i love her outfit! i live in the U.S. and everyone is so intolerant :( especially where i live, i would love to dress like this everyday <3
Kjeld Duits: @Nyurah: Just shows that people are basically the same all over the world. Which in the end is probably a positive thing, because when more people realize that, differences matter less. ^^

Kjeld Duits: @MissMolly: Glad to see that you’re a fan of Kurebayashi, MissMolly. Did you see our feature on Kurebayashi in our blog last year February?
MissMolly: Ohmygosh it’s THE Kurebayashi!!! <3 I love her blog so much! Seems like you’ve photographed her a lot, and I’ve loved her looks, but I never put two and two together that this was “her” haha
Kjeld Duits: @Mirry: Kurebayashi’s personality completely matches her look. She is so much fun!

shazz: How come I didn’t realize this one before? Anyway, for a 14 years old girl she seriously good. Oh~ I found this pic inspiring.
Kjeld Duits: @from Finland: Yes, cool, eh! The immense attention to detail is what makes Japanese fashion Japanese, I feel. That attention inspires me immensely.
from Finland: Fashion tends to be so much more simple in the west.. in the detail pictures you can see how there are soo so many different different things that create that outfit!

Anthology Hermosa Bch Boutique: We are in Hermosa Beach, California, photographing models with our Spring / Summer line, online looking for ideas and love the wild colors here on your site. Way to go japan! Wild!
Kjeld Duits: @Maria: You always have an amazing memory.
Maria: I have seen that shirt on Vani! ^^ I looove the jacket, I would wear it even if it’s not cold <3

Kjeld Duits: @Nyurah: Yes, freedom is indeed a difficult work to define. But the aesthetics of fashion and style are definitely different here. I am glad I can be here to document it. ^^
Nyurah: @Emma & Kjeld: Well, I think it depends on what kind of freedom you’re talking about. But in question of style, there is clearly a higher acceptance in Japan than in many other countries. My opinion at least^^
Kjeld Duits: @Emma: That is funny, because the majority (if not all) of Japanese people believe that there is more freedom outside Japan. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence… ^_-

Kjeld Duits: @Diana: Maybe your parents wanted you grow into a goddess? ^_- I had a look at the sites of both colleges. Do they offer fashion courses? Can’t really find them… Or are you not planning to study fashion?
Diana: @Kjeld: Haha I did, but I never thought about it in terms of the Roman goddess haha :) I did it because I wanted to go by my first name. As for what college I am going to, I am not 100% sure yet. I am deciding between Texas Tech and Texas A&M at the moment. When I decide which one I choose, I will let you know :D
Kjeld Duits: @Diana: I see that you changed your name to Diana, the virgin goddess who had the power to talk to and control animals. ^^ Wonderful to hear that JAPANESE STREETS has had such a strong and positive influence on you. Congrats on graduating! What college are you planning to go to?
