lavyuceffe: 「Was part of her orde du jour being a object d’art? Magnifique」
Kjeld Duits: @harlexica: You are right, not everything can be categorized so easily. ^_- Masks are a very common sight on Japanese streets (see photo below). People wear them especially when they have a cold, so they don’t infect other people. Many supermarkets even require that their cashiers wear them. Because they are everywhere, they are increasingly becoming a fashion statement, just like any other thing worn.
harlexica: The sweater and the pants together: awesome. I know the description says it’s a T-shirt, but with the long sleeves and wool panel, it sure looks like a sweater. But can someone explain the mask?

Kjeld Duits: @Mari: Thank you for your lovely comment, Mari. I really like this shoot, too. It reminds me of the fashion trends of the 1920s.
Mari: Wow! I don’t know what i love the most on her: the haircut, the hair color, the outfit, the cuteness, or everything together. Kawaii is not enough for these pictures —-
Kjeld Duits: @Claudia I.: I see what you mean. Now you mention it, there is perhaps a slight flapper feel to Yuki’s look.

Kjeld Duits: @Dörrie Banana: Lots of people suffer from allergies in Japan (including me, actually), but I think that most of the people I shoot use masks as a fashion statement. I think it’s a fashion statement for Mari, too.
Dörrie Banana: Something really drew me to this girl. Don’t know if it’s the transparent red pants or her funny pose. Just something. Looks like a lot of people are suffering from allergy in Japan, too. That kinda comforts me, I feel like I’m not the only one ^^ I also like that she has tons of bags with her; the big black bag pack (sounds funny), the bag made of cotton AND the panda bear bag pack!! My brother would totally love that ;-) Reminds me of myself, I often carry a couple of bags with me as well. ^^
Kjeld Duits: @nora: It always bothers me that most Japanese just wear plain white masks. Why not be more playful? So, I love it when I run into people like Mari. @Roanne: Unfortunately, I don’t have a twitter or facebook account for Mari…

hisoshiinouejailbreal: perfect !
Maria: After a second look, I think her outfit is also about little details. Little details in the hat and belt. Then the little, but quite nice, watch. n_n
Kjeld Duits: @Maria: They show Ayumi’s adventurous streak, I think. ^_-

peter: This is a copy of Tamurapan…
Emma: @hannah: I know the bag is so cute :) as for the scarf I think you either love it or you hate it.
Kjeld Duits: @Emma & hannah: Minami told me that she is love with the Peter Rabbit stories by Beatrix Potter. That was her inspiration for this look.
