Fashion course at Tokyo based university
Joshibi University of Art and Design was founded in 1900 as The Private Women’s School of Fine Arts to address the necessity for higher education for women.
The school’s goal is “to support the self-realization of each student and to develop individuals who can grasp the world around them in a comprehensive manner and can offer something to society through their judgments, their ideas, and their actions.”
Joshibi University of Art and Design aims to have the student “confront the challenging possibilities offered by fashion as art.” Their program offers specialized education in apparel modeling, computer-based information education as well as other courses.
