Lifestyle magazine for Japanese business women
The ‘EW’ in NIKKEI EW stands for Executive Woman, but ‘E’ can also mean Elegant in addition to Executive, the publisher says. “Women with responsibility are beautiful,” the NIKKEI site proudly proclaims. Empowerment and femininity sounds quite progressive in a country that usually gets a bad rap from the foreign press for the way it apparently treats working women.
NIKKEI EW, published since March 2007, is Japan’s first magazine to appeal to women who are or want to become leaders.
NIKKEI EW advertises itself as the magazine that offers “support for both business and lifestyle of women with a title, from manager to president.”
Published by Nikkei Home Publishing which also publishes NIKKEI TRENDY, NIKKEI MONEY, NIKKEI WOMAN, NIKKEI Otona OFF as well as other magazines.
