SENKEN-SHIMBUN Co.,LTD boasts to have the worlds largest circulation of any fashion industry newspaper anywhere in the world. It provides news, research data and new business ideas and has a great influence over the fashion trade in Japan. About 60% of their readers are home subscribers. Its core readership consists of people involved in the textile and fashion industries and related sectors.

Almost half of its readership resides in the Kanto area (Tokyo and surroundings), while a quarter is based in the Kansai (Osaka and surroundings). A third of its readers is younger than 36, while the age rages 36-45, 46-55 and 56 and older have readership percentages of 20% each.

In 2003, the company opened a branch office in Shanghai to better collect information from outside Japan.

The average issue contains about 12 pages

The Senken Shimbun has a circulation of 200,000 and is distributed daily through the very efficient Asahi newspaper delivery system.
