Lily Barreth’s Lilith label was born in France, but with founder Lily Barreth now based in Japan, the Japanese have adopted the label as if it were Japanese. A bohemian and sophisticated womenswear brand established in 1987, Lilith is a well known label which makes the most of its French origins, but has stores in France, the US and Japan.

Lily Barreth opened her first store in Nancy, France. When her style of unexpected, off beat fabric blends and mixtures of non-traditional colors became more popular than she had expected, the brand Lilith was born. The brand now offers a complete clothing line from hats to shoes.

On April 29, 2005 Lilith opened its flagship shop, Lilith Minami Aoyama, in highly sophisticated Minami Aoyama, Tokyo.
