Hi Dynamax, good to see you again. I have missed your active comments and uploads recently. Mmice and m o j o also have been quiet. We have a new member who comments a lot: misato. Maybe you have noticed her already. She lives in Osaka and is Japanese. jinpachi is still very active, too. I think you remember her.
By the way, I hope your camera didn't get wet!

I always enjoy seeing your shots. Have you thought of shooting some street fashion in St. Petersburg? I would love to see that here. I remember your telling me that you were shy, so maybe it is difficult to shoot strangers on the street.
Good to hear that your camera was fine. One of my cameras once got wet when I was shooting in a snow storm. It was a Pentax 6X7 and it cost a lot of money to get it fixed.

Thank you Kjeld for a kind words
Yes, it's kind of difficul to shoot strangers, just "as is". But I make some movement in that direction. I realise, that shoot peoples expression....Sometimes easy on some concerts. When they busy with listening to music.Or some kind of celebrations...I've take some pictures. One series from "Day of the Ice". Second, when Roger Waters from "Pink Floyd" was with his concert in Saint-Petersburg.
Street fashion...I think I need some kind of lenses that can alow me to shoot from a long distance, without distubing people
Snow storm!!! Such format like 6x4 need more care about But I hope it works alright after some fixes :D

Thans for your concern, dynamax. The 6X7 (not 6X4) was fixed well. Unfortunately, I don't get to use it very often anymore, because most jobs these days require the speed and low cost of a digital camera. Two years a go I did a job for a museum shooting Osaka Castle from a helicopter for photos that were to be enlarge to poster size. For that 6X7 is just perfect. I got wonderful shots and really enjoyed working with this old camera again. I just love the sound when you take a photo. And because it is so big, cumbersome and expensive to use it really makes you think about each image you take. Digital cameras make me a lazy thinker, I find.
Just a note of warning about using long lenses when you shoot street fashion. You will need permission from people to display their photos on internet. So you can't just shoot somebody and then walk away without talking with them.

6x7/6x4... I was a "hurry-typer" when I did that mistake ;

Sounds just, great! Suppose that working with old cameras bring some memories back But I think it's great! And helicopter, I've never expirienced such thing. Suppose aerial photography with old camera is...Cool! (It's a nice word to describe it" :D
"Lazy thinker"? :D Yes, digital photography make it easier
Aw-w...Thanks for advice! I will be more carefull! Thanks Kjeld!

I love aerial photography. Unfortunately, it can be dangerous. So far I have used two companies in Japan for renting planes or helicopters. Both companies have had deadly accidents in the past two years. And both cases they were flying media people... It makes you think twice!

Yes, it is sad. I feel very sorry for the surviving families. One of the accidents happened because of fog, I don't know about the cause of the other.

Sometimes people act very strange and in some cases, it leads to problems. Why they fly when it's been fogy? If they know that it's dangerous.

It wasn't foggy when they left. They unexpectedly encountered fog while flying above the sea and apparently the pilot lost his bearings.
